Rhian Lois

Welsh soprano Rhian Lois, who was a Carne Trust scholar at the Royal College of Music and also studied at the National Opera School, is developing a promising operatic career. At the Royal Opera House, she sang Papagena in 2015; she made her debut with the Welsh National Opera in productions of The Marriage of Figaro and Figaro Gets Divorced, and sang Adele in Welsh National Opera’s (WNO) Die Fledermaus in 2017.

Rhian has performed in many roles at English National Opera, including most recently a highly reviewed Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, and The Governess in Britten’s Turn of the Screw at Regents Park Open Air Theatre. Roles in 2019 include Valencienne in ENO’s Merry Widow and Nanette in Grange Festival’s production of Verdi’s Falstaff.
