Joshua spent four years at Harvard University reading History, and it was there that he developed an interest in drama. On his return to the UK, he assisted on productions at the Finborough Theatre and acted as General Manager of the High Tide Festival in Aldeburgh. In 2016, he made a major career step as the Artistic Director of London’s newest studio theatre, The Bunker, set in the basement of Southwark’s renowned Menier Chocolate Factory Theatre. In this role, he presented an exciting range of challenging, risky and adventurous new works, attracting a whole new audience of young theatregoers in the process.
Even more excitingly, Josh has now been appointed Chief Executive and Artistic Director of the Chelsea Centre in Worlds End Chelsea, where he will oversee a range of cultural activities in the community and supervise the renovation of an existing theatre space into a drama studio of 140 capacity. We can expect a similar range of adventurous theatre programming here as he successfully established at The Bunker. A meteoric rise for a young man of 27.
