Acting scholarships

At RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art), The Trust offers £5,000 bursaries to 2 acting students in their final year of study, on the basis of financial need. This is shared between one or two students in the earlier years of their course. Past recipients have included James Norton, Rosie Sheehy and Asif Khan.

At LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), a similar arrangement is in effect, with £5,000 bursaries awarded to 2 final year acting students. Past recipients have included Callum Woodhouse and Fred Haig. An additional scholarship is awarded to an American student as a result of an annual matching gift from Mr Carne’s former US employer, Johnson & Johnson.
